Lori Dodson Elected to City Council 5/16/11 K.Agee

It appears that Lori Dodson will be our next District 6 City Councilperson, by a vote of 232 to 56 over Richardo Rocha. The election was held on Sat 5/14/11, although more than half of the total votes had been cast during the early-voting window.

Lori succeeds Barbara Chick, who held the City Council seat for the past three terms (the maximum per City Charter). By all accounts, Barbara did a great job of representing the neighborhood, and there is no reason to doubt that Lori will continue that tradition. Both ladies have called District 6 their home for over 40 years, which gives them a tremendous grasp of the details & concerns of the area. We hope that Richardo will continue to contribute in one way or another, since his competence & dedication is also appreciated.
