2015 Block Party details 9/15 R.Rocha, K.Agee

The WGNA organization is planning to participate in the Texas version of National Night Out, and we welcome all residents of west Garland.  West Garland is defined as the area between Buckingham and Forest Lane, and between Shiloh and the western city limits (generally along Plano Rd).

Texas has chosen Tuesday evening, 10/6/15 for this year’s event, and WGNA has selected the Hollis Hollabaugh Rec Center (3925 W. Walnut) as the location. This year, the WGNA will like to invite everyone in the neighborhood to enjoy some ice cream on us, and, if anyone has a great dessert recipe, a chance to join our "dessert bake off” with a chance to win prizes. There will be a special guest that you will not want to miss! The event is completely free and we hope to see everyone there.

 For your information, These National Night Out events have been held annually since 1984 and are sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States. The event is meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities such as drug prevention and neighborhood watch. It’s a great idea, but we need to come out that evening so it can be successful.
