Summer Camp at Bethel Christian Church 6/18/18 K.Agee /R.Rocha

We received this flyer from Reverend Julio Danilo & Yolanda Estrada, describing their Church’s Summer Camp event.

The event was discussed during our last quarterly WGNA meeting, but at the time the details were still being worked out. Now however, we know those details, and encourage WGNA members to pass the word to our Spanish-speaking friends and neighbors.

The event started on Monday June 18^th and will continue thru Thursday July 19^th. There is no cost to register, and the daily activities typically start at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. The age group is from Kindergarten thru 5^th Grade.

The idea is to keep young minds engaged during the summer break from school, and will also include religious support & lessons along with games, sports, art, and even cooking projects.

The Iglesia Cristiana Bethel (Bethel Christian Church) is located at 3325 Lawler, which is on Jupiter Road between Walnut Road and the Garland Fire Station.
