Ribbon-cutting and Ground-breaking at Hollabaugh Center 10/22 K.Agee

The construction phase of our new library officially began on Thursday, October 29^th, 2022 in a ceremony at the Hollabaugh Recreational Center, located at 3925 W. Walnut. This comes as a result of the 2019 passage of the $21 million dollar bond package (“Proposition E”), and will more than double the size of the old Walnut Creek Library located at 3319 Edgewood Dr. here in District 6.

Construction will begin this year, and probably continue throughout all of 2023. The library will be added to the west end of the Hollabaugh Rec Center, and will be linked via a walkway. The Rec Center will also receive upgrades during this time, including a basketball court, and other amenities.
