Minutes of the Quarterly Meeting
April 25, 2024

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
There was an introduction of the officers.
Officers in attendance:
David Morehead - President
Linda Deskin – Vice President
Irene Ryan – Secretary
Ken Agee – Sergeant-at-Arms
Officers not in attendance:
Robert Vera - Treasurer
Minutes from the meeting in January were read and approved.
Treasurer’s report: $2,600.00 in the bank
Hollabaugh Recreation Center will be opening soon. It will probably be early May.
Renovations at Lottie Watson are almost complete. There will be a splash pad, restrooms, and a food court.
The new Medical City Emergency Department is now open.
Teena Johnson gave an excellent presentation concerning the fentanyl crisis and what we can do to be more aware of what’s happening. She lost her son to fentanyl poisoning. She brought extensive documentation outlining what to look for and how to address the issue so people know what to do.
Our NPO, Officer Diaz, was in attendance. He answered a few questions regarding the issue of fentanyl.
Early voting for the May runoff election and the city amendments is now through April 30. Election day is May 4.
Continuous noise nuisance should be brought to the Police. They can write a citation.
A motion was made to end the meeting, was seconded, and passed unanimously.
