2025 Mayor & District 6 Council Rep Elections             4/25 K.Agee

In addition to the four bond proposals, the May 3rd General Election will have us choosing a new Mayor and determining our next City Council representative (for District 6).

Early voting is as follows:

·         Tuesday April 22, through Friday April 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

·         Saturday April 26, from  7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

·         Sunday April 27, from Noon to 6 p.m.

·         Monday April 28 and Tuesday April 29, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In Garland, early polling places will be:

·         Dallas College-Garland Center, 675 W. Walnut St.

·         North Garland Library, 3845 N. Garland Ave.

·         South Garland Library, 4845 Broadway Blvd.

·         Vietnamese Community Center, 3221 Belt Line Road

Our District 6 City Council representative is currently Carissa Dutton, who is completing her first term, will be running for a second.  Robert Vera had been District 6’s City Council representative for the three previous terms, and had therefore had to sit out at least one term before running again.  Both have attended many of our meetings, so we won’t go into more detail regarding their qualifications.

There are six candidates for Mayor, some more accessible than others.  Please check back for updates as more information on the candidates becomes available.  For now, please refer to BallotPedia’s website for the ones who have filled out their profile and interview pages:  https://ballotpedia.org/Mayoral_election_in_Garland,_Texas_(2025)
