2011 Texas Neighborhood Night Out

West Garland Neighborhood Ass’n

Was Tuesday October 4^th, 2011

Texas chose Tuesday October 4^th as the date for this year’s National Night Out.

The West Garland Neighborhood Association (WGNA) sponsored an event held this year at Groves Park (1510 Bobbie Ln).

By all accounts the event went smoothly, and we will get some pictures uploaded in the next few days.

We certainly appreciate everyone who came out to meet their neighbors that evening, and also the others who contributed to the event:

> The City of Garland in general, and specifically the Neighborhood Patrol Officers, firemen from Station#3 (and their truck!), representatives from the Office of Emergency Management, Animal Control, and our local elected/appointed representatives.

> Boy Scout troop 884, the North Garland Little League, and The ROC
